On the one-year anniversary of ‘13’, Della will be performing at St. Paul’s Anglican Cathedral in Nicosia, alongside her usual stage mates and an incredible 5-piece orchestra. You can grab a ticket to her and the band at louvanarecords.com/della
Below, Della tells the story of how it came to be in her own words.
how the cathedral came to be
In November 2025, I was sat in a big crowd at the Southbank Centre in London watching Guy Barker and his orchestra bring the whole room to life. i loved watching the crossover between so many genres. Upon coming back to Cyprus, I kept hammering on and on about wanting to do the same with Alex, Petros, and Chris on stage. Eventually, Alex and I began hunting for locations. One was too far, the other was too small, the other had no electricity, and we almost gave up until Alex suggested a beautiful cathedral in the heart of town.
A few days later, we decided to give it a shot (we weren’t very optimistic). We met Ian and Helen, who both work at the cathedral. Things started looking great, and I put out an open call for classical musicians and got Andy Skordis to begin orchestrating our music. eventually electric guitars and keyboard became part of a bigger family comprising of a double bass, cello, violin, french horn, and flute. Nedi, Kina, Konstantinos, Konstantinos, Lysandros, and Vasilios.
There’s more to the story, but that’s all for now. See you on June 13th, love Della
